(‘reason things out’ : It means to do the calculation, the reason, and discern right and wrong.)
- Luke 12:56-57 Hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of the earth and the sky. How is it that you don’t know how to interpret this present time? “Why don’t you judge for yourselves what is right?
- John 8:45-47 Yet because I tell the truth, you do not believe me! Can any of you prove me guilty of sin? If I am telling the truth, why don’t you believe me? Whoever belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.”
When you have a math problem, you will find ‘the answer’ if you reason it out and do the calculation. In the same way, with whatever questions you have, ‘the questions’ will be answered if you reason them out and do the calculations. When you reason it out and do the calculations, your questions are answered and you feel refreshed. However, if you are dull-minded and don’t reason it out, you will be anxious, you will doubt, you will misunderstand, you will disbelieve, you will even fight and hate, and will even leave. You will recognize everyone the righteous, the wicked, the unrighteous, and the liars if you check, question, and reason. With both business and business administration, it is the people who reasoned and did the research, who achieved ‘material heaven’ by succeeding through resolving questions, finding out answers, and taking action.
The same is true with the world of faith. A person who is lazy, is timid, and doesn’t have the desire to take action will not work to solve problems by reasoning correctly about righteousness and truth and thus, he will think in self-centered ways, get sidetracked, and live while suffering hardships. The Messiah too – when [people] interpret by reasoning out one thing at a time such as history, time, the Word he gives, and his deeds, they will absolutely find out that he is the Messiah. Is one the Messiah if only one thing fits? the time has to fit, he must interpret the prophesies in the Bible and fulfill them, he must break the seals and solve the secrets in the Bible, he must fulfill the prophesies of the world, he must deliver the Word that is appropriate for his mission for his lifetime, he must take action on one thing at a time and leave a legacy of accomplishments, he must fulfill the Word God spoke while taking action on one thing at a time…When you reason out one by one, you will find the answer and the question will be answered.
If the level of your thoughts, the level of your actions, and the level of your faith decrease, then you will even doubt the Lord who is absolutely right and wonder, ‘Did I believe until now due to some psychological effect?’ The human brain is such that it will doubt 100% even after believing 100%. Human beings are not ‘absolute deities’ and therefore, not all of their thoughts are correct. Therefore, sometimes they will doubt even after believing and they will believe even after doubting. Even after believing in God and the Lord, if they feel left out for some reason or get angry and upset, they will disbelieve even after they have been believing for ten or twenty years. Then when things improve, they will affirm it again even after they disbelieved. This is ‘the human brain.’
The human brain and thoughts are prone to frequent changes. Even someone who disbelieved before will once again acknowledge and say it is correct when you treat them well and even someone who believes and follows will disbelieve and deny it if he feels left out momentarily. The human thoughts are like ‘water.’ Thoughts will become hot if they are intense and they will grow cold if they are left alone. That is why you must not reason things out according to your momentary thoughts. When your neighbor digs up ‘the treasure hidden in a field,’ even though you believed it and testified about it at first, once you are angry and furious, feel hatred and thus, your heart grows cold, you will deny it saying it is absolutely not true. This is ‘the human brain.’ God’s history, the Messiah, righteous people, wicked people, unrighteous people, right and wrong – with all of them, you will find the answer and the questions are answered if you reason them out one by one and do the calculation.
Even if you married someone because you loved them most dearly at first, if you love them in an average way, later you will regret saying, “Why did I choose this woman? Why did I choose this man?” Therefore, when choosing a partner too – you have to choose after raising the level of your thoughts and reasoning it out one by one both spiritually and physically. Even after you go to the market, buy various household goods and food, and bring them home, when you get home you wonder, “Why did I buy this?” That is why you have to raise ‘the level of your thoughts,’ choose carefully and buy only the food and goods that are absolutely necessary.
There are many people who can express their opinions, share their heart, and speak well about daily life stories and yet speak poorly when it comes to things related to the gospel and things about the Trinity. I want you to become ‘master speakers’ by continually learning and studying. You have to speak well in order for evangelism to go well. If you want to speak well, you have to learn, study, and practice. And when evangelizing, you have to evangelize ‘chosen people.’ You have to go to deep water and cast ‘the net of the Word.’ You have to catch fish after praying and putting in dedication. Then you can catch ‘big ocean fish.’
Now is not a time to run. It is a time to fly. Only those who fly will live in the time period while flying with the Lord. For birds, their wings are what is connected to the shoulder joints. For a person, ‘righteousness’ is the wings and ‘the body and both hands’ are the wings. You must diligently do deed of righteousness, take action according to the Lord’s Word and the Holy Spirit’s inspiration, and put on your wings.
