- Psalms 33:11 But the plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.
- Psalms 40:5 Many, Lord, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.
- Psalms 92:5 How great are your works, Lord, how profound your thoughts!
‘Thoughts’ are like life to human beings living their lives. Therefore, your thoughts have to be sound. Then you can use your body properly and live valuably and righteously while fulfilling God’s Will. Both God and the Holy Spirit said the core thing about ‘thoughts’, that “If your thoughts are not sound, then your body is useless.” Why is your body useless if your thoughts are not sound? It is because your thoughts play ‘the role of the core, the essence, and the life.’
- Thoughts are like ‘electricity’ and the body is like ‘the electrical cord.’
- Thoughts are like ‘the engine’ and the body is like ‘the car’s body’ and ‘the machine.’
- Thoughts are like ‘fruit’ and the body is like ‘a tree.’
- Thoughts are like ‘grain’ and the body is like ‘the soil.’
- Thoughts are like ‘the hour hand, the minute hand, and the second hand’ and the body is like ‘the clock itself.’
- Thoughts are like ‘the inside’ and the body is like ‘the outside.’
In this way, thoughts play ‘the role of the core, the essence, and the life.’ Therefore, you have to think well and always manage your thoughts valuably.
The value of a person lies in ‘the value of his thoughts.’ People assign value to other people after seeing whether their thoughts are sound or not. Through your thoughts your body takes action. Through your body’s actions, your spirit becomes transformed, and that determines whether [your spirit] will become an eternal being or not. Thoughts are the core* for going to Hell and thoughts are also the core for going to Heaven. (* Translation note: you can also use the word ‘key’ for ‘the core.’) Thoughts let you gain and [thoughts] also prevent you from gaining.
This is ‘the world where thoughts are reality’ in which – according to your thoughts – your body takes action and your spirit changes. If your thoughts are hazy, your body’s deeds are also hazy. Therefore, you have to think in good ways and think really well. You absolutely have to think thoughts that are united with God, the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Son and your body has to be the reality of your thoughts and take action. Your body resembles your thoughts and thus, takes action according to those thoughts. It lives resembling [your thoughts’] personality more closely than someone you love and more closely than married spouses. The body is ‘the actualization of your thoughts.’
The reason I told you to cast off your own thoughts, take on the Lord’s thoughts and follow is because the objective and desire of your thoughts are to put your thoughts into practice. If you do, the Lord’s thoughts will become your thoughts and your body will also resemble the Lord’s thoughts. Thus, you will take action according to his thoughts and putting the Lord’s thoughts into practice will becomes ‘your thoughts’ objective and desire.’ Putting the thoughts of the Lord into practice once is greater righteousness than putting your own thoughts into practice ten thousand times. God considers and treats the thoughts that deviate from the Lord and deviate from the thoughts of the Almighty God as ‘the thoughts of death.’
Two kinds of thoughts always come before you. One is something you should do and the other is something you should not do. You have to make sure to do the things you should do and surely not do the things you should not do by uniting your thoughts with the Lord, making it good, and judging wisely. However, when you look at lives, their thoughts are shortsighted. Shortsighted thinking means that when people face unexpected situations, rather than thinking as far ahead as they can, they look at only one thing, think shortsightedly, and take action quickly. Therefore, even if it is an important matter, they take simple actions with shortsighted thinking. As a result, they ruin that work, fail to do the things they should do, unnecessarily do the things they should not do, and cause the work they are doing to fail and to not work out. When looking at it more spiritually, to have shortsighted thinking means that [your thoughts] are not the same as the thoughts of God who sees the whole picture but instead, you think with low intelligence looking at only a portion. If you judge after [first] thinking as far ahead as possible, then an answer that is sufficient will come to you. If you judge after [first] making [your thoughts] the same as God’s thoughts, then an answer that is perfect will come to you.
If you take action with shortsighted thinking, neither your work nor a work of art will turn out properly. Thoughts are like ‘the size of a house or the size of a garden.’ It is ‘uncomfortable’ when a house or a garden is too small, right? There are gardens that are 5* pyeong, 10 pyeong, 20 pyeong, 50 pyeong, 100 pyeong, 1000 pyeong, 3000 pyeong, 5000 pyeong, and even 10,000 pyeong. (* Translation note: 1 pyeong = 35 sq ft.) Houses too – their sizes vary from 10 pyeong, 20 pyeong, 30 pyeong, 50 pyeong, 100 pyeong, 200 pyeong, etc. Everyone lives their lives either thinking small or thinking big. The smaller your thoughts are, the more uncomfortable it is to live life, and the more uncomfortable it is to exercise faith. Thoughts are like ‘a vessel.’ It is also like ‘the space you live in.’ If the vessel is small, you cannot put a lot in it. And if the space you live in is small, you will live that much more uncomfortably. The same is true with thoughts. You can’t do big works if your thoughts are narrow and your deeds are small. Because it is not a big road, a big car will never be able to travel on it for your lifetime. I bless all of you to learn, open your eyes and realize; make your thoughts sound and perfect like that, use your bodies valuably, and also by making your spirits valuable according to those deeds, live valuably forever!
