Thought is the master. [Thoughts are] the inspector.

  • Matthew 11:29-30 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.

Since people live with moving bodies while making decisions with their hearts and thoughts, the heart and thoughts are that valuable and important. You defeat evil with goodness. So, what does one defeat evil with? You defeat it with ‘thoughts.’ If you fight and defeat evil with good thoughts, your body wins too. You have to win at the thoughts. Then your body will win too. People are always fighting [internally] about whether to ‘do’ or ‘not do’ something. When they do, they fight using the thoughts. However, one cannot decide well with just thoughts alone. One has to learn, have knowledge, and know. Then he will judge by those thoughts and fight and win [using those thoughts].

Your thoughts must be united with the thoughts of God, who is the Absolute Being. Then you will fight against unrighteousness using those thoughts and win. Two options are always presented before us – good and evil. It is to do the good and not do the evil. It is to absolutely do the good but absolutely not do the evil.

→This judgment is made with ‘the thoughts.’ Ordinary thoughts have a weak ability to judge. Therefore, it is not easy to absolutely do the good and absolutely not do the evil. You have to learn a lot of God’s thoughts and wisdom and know them. Then it will be easy to judge with those thoughts.

With certain matters, your thoughts follow what your body’s nerve cells [sense], its feelings, and its stimulations. When it is cold, your body is stimulated by the cold and your thoughts are drawn to warm places. When it is hot, your body is stimulated by the heat and your thoughts are drawn to cool places. In this way, when you see [something] with your eyes, your thoughts stand on the side of what you see. When you hear with your ears, your thoughts stand on the side of what you hear. When you eat, your thoughts stand on the side of what you eat. And when you feel with your body, your thoughts stand on the side of what you feel. In this way, thoughts flow according to what you see with your eyes and hear with your ears, and how your body is stimulated. Therefore, you have to keep telling people and showing people ‘the good.’

Additionally, thoughts make decisions for ‘what is better.’ Therefore, you have to keep letting your thoughts see and hear good things and let [your thoughts] use them as reference. First, people are ‘a bundle of thoughts and a bundle of feelings.’ It is because nerve cells make up the brain. Therefore, both one’s thoughts and body go in the direction of what one thinks and feels. If you feel God through praying or feel God through receiving grace, both your thoughts and body go in that direction. If you read the Word and think of the Lord, both your thoughts and body go in that direction. Second, people are ‘a bundle of sight.’ Therefore, their thoughts and bodies keep going in the direction of what they see and like. Third, people are ‘a bundle of eating.’ Therefore, when the time to eat comes, both their thoughts and body go in the direction of where the food is. Even though that may be the case, should you go in the direction of what you feel, what you see, and what you eat no matter what?

‘Thoughts’ are the master and it is the source of life! Even if you see with your eyes and hear with your ears, and your body is stimulated, it is your thoughts that decide whether you will go in that direction or not. If your thoughts are immature and weak, your seeing eyes, hearing ears, and eating mouths will be the center and you will take action [based on them], and your body, which is weak to stimulation, will be the center and you will take action [based on it]. When your thoughts become the high level master of your body even if you see with your eyes, hear with your ears, and are stimulated in your body, your thoughts make the right judgment and control your body. Your thoughts must be high level and wise and thus, you have to have clear wise judgment. If a person has high level thoughts,  even when he gains, he will gain the best and highest-level things.

If you become united with God’s thoughts by listening to God’s Word and praying, you will know that [the reality] is different from what your eyes see, what your ears hear, and what your body feels and you will make the right judgment. Think of the thoughts as ‘a master’ and think of the eyes, the ears, and the body as its subordinate reporters. And think that they report to the thoughts, the things seen with the eyes, heard with the ears, and felt with the body. When those things are reported to the thoughts, the thoughts should measure them, weigh them, break them down, and check them meticulously. In this way, the thoughts have to be the master and be a god, know correctly, command your body parts, tell them what to do, and make them take action.

The thoughts are ‘the examiner.’ If you have thoughts that are united with God and use them to examine what your eyes have seen, what your ears have heard, and what your body has felt, you will obtain the answer. You have to take action with your body after your thoughts examine what is right or wrong.

Just as when your body is idle, if your thoughts are idle, it is nothing. Therefore, nothing works out. Just as you would move your body, if you move your thoughts, you will think and thus, gain something. People take action according to their thoughts. Whatever people do without thinking correctly will turn out incorrect. If you train only your thoughts but don’t train your body, your body cannot keep up. It is to train both the thoughts and the body!

With the thoughts and body people had before, they are weak. So, they are so excessively tossed here and there like reeds, are affected by the environment and suffer so much pain.

You have to train and strengthen both your thoughts and your body and live with a transformed body and transformed mind. Then you will endure the cold, the heat, and the environment well and not suffer even. Your heart, thoughts, and body are weak like a child. So, it is to ‘train them.’ Your body too – if you strengthen it by exercising, you can make it ten or twenty times stronger. If you don’t train [yourself], you will be easily experience feeling left out, misunderstanding, intimidation, fear, terror, being conscious of others, and depression. And even small confrontations will affect you.  When that happens, your nerves are shocked so much that you cannot do your work properly. It is to train your heart and body within your daily life. It is to train yourself so you can endure the weather and climate well accordingly and it is to train your heart and thoughts!
