People are living locked up in ignorance in their lives whether politically or religiously, and are living through injustice being affected by ‘the affects of ignorance’ as much as they are ignorant. Ignorance is like darkness. You cannot see anything if it is pitch dark, right? Ignorance is like that. When you are ignorant, you cannot see anything and you don’t know. You must realize how great knowing is. The one who knows will live at ‘the Divine level.’
Do you know what the greatest success is? [The greatest success] is to know how you should live your life and living your life for that. A person who knows how he should live his life and is living his life for that is a person who lives the greatest life and a person who has solved the biggest problem in his life. A person must surely live solving ‘the issue of the spirit.’ Even if their bodies live well eating, enjoying, and possessing honor and power, if they live without solving ‘the issues of the spirit,’ there is not one thing that remains even if they live 100 years of life. They are like an animal who just lived and died.
Even if a person has lived a fancy life in the world, if they did not solve the most important issues, which is ‘the issue of the spirit,’ the world of their spirits is the pitch dark world of darkness. [It means that] they lived with the wrong thoughts while they lived in this world. It is because they failed to find the eternal path, chose the world where they feel, see, and enjoy for an instant, and lived only for ‘the body.’ It is because in the world where people eat, see, and enjoy, they lived investing in it and advancing it to the utmost, but had no knowledge whatsoever about the eternal things, were blind, and lived primitively. If you have harvested the grains, you must keep the seeds. And you have to also gain by again sowing those seeds. However, it is like not keeping any seeds but eating up all the grain. Therefore, they end after enjoying and eating for an instant. However, in the end, they will have nothing remaining.
People live with ‘thoughts.’ You have to think correctly. Only then will you also have correct actions, live your life correctly, and also live everyday life correctly.
When each person thinks about certain things and lives focused on those things, their brains become accustomed to living that way. So it is very difficult for them to change over even if there is something better. People feel happy and delighted only if they do things that they have become accustomed to doing. Therefore, they live every day doing things that they have become accustomed to. For people, their brains and thoughts are accustomed to living comfortably, living well off. To live more comfortably and to live better off, They live constantly studying and thinking about those things.
Food too. Once you’ve become accustomed to certain foods, you cannot change that. Why? Since you grew up eating that food from the time you were young, even if others cannot eat it saying they don’t like it, you cannot survive if you don’t eat that food. In this way, the way people live is also difficult to change once it becomes their constitution and their thoughts become hardened to it. There are many people who believe and live according to their own constitutions even though they live believing in God and believing in Jesus. Even if they live without believing in God, because they live according to their constitution, which is to not believe, they live comfortably instead [of miserably].
I told you that ignorance is ‘darkness,’ right? They don’t know because they are in the dark. They do that because they don’t know. They think that is comfortable because that has become their constitution. That is why you have to evangelize and teach them. You have to let them know. You have to change the things of the past for them.
Only then will they realize on their own, delight in it, and believe well. If you don’t know the value, Even after buying a field with buried treasure, you have no joy.
How happy you are since other fields are ‘regular fields’ but only that one field that you possess is ‘a field that is chock full of buried treasures.’ Despite that, if you don’t know the value, you will think of it as ordinary. Even if you are sitting in a great sofa, it will be as if you are sitting on a regular chair. Even if you are living in a great house, a great environment, it will be as if you are living in a regular house. Even if you have gained the absolute best things, you will feel no hope and cannot enjoy a sense of fulfillment.
No matter how much you possess something that only you have, if your thoughts are low level, you cannot feel it and you cannot enjoy it. Even after you have gained the greatest blessing that God granted to the earth, if, because you lost the sense of value and so fail to be joyful and do not live full of hope, there is no value to receiving it. Even if you are enjoying a house, environment, honor, and glory that only you possess, if you don’t know the value, you will live with a heart that is like someone who is not enjoy it. If you don’t know the value, it is not possible to live together and you cannot live together. Even if you have learned something and know it, if you forget its value and do not raise your level, you have no strength, no hope, and no joy.
If you have realized a lot and know the value, the level at which you treat the Lord is also different. According to that, joy will be great and a sense of satisfaction will also be great. You have to have the desire to take action. You have to have the desire to raise your level no matter what. If you don’t have desire or your desire is lost, you cannot do it. You have to take action with desire. Only then will your ‘level’ rise, and thus you will see, hear, and feel that much, and live every day with satisfaction, hope, and joy.
