54. The Most Precious and Expensive Item
With people, even if it is something they did because they wanted it and liked it, when time passes, they grow to dislike it and regret it. Even though they did it because they liked it, they wonder, “Why did I do this? Why did I love this person? Why did I buy this?” This happens because people are limited and thus, cannot see far ahead. Also, this happens because human beings are beings with physical bodies and thus, they judge by physical thoughts. Therefore, as time passes, both their thoughts and the time period change.
As for the work you did because God, the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Son told you to, whether it is a small task or a big task, it is satisfying and joyful from start to finish. Why would that be? It is because the Trinity chooses things and takes action while thinking far ahead. Additionally, it is because the Trinity are eternal and carry out history continually. Thus, the satisfaction and the joy also last forever.
Even if it is something small, what you gained from taking action together with the Trinity on what they told you to do brings satisfaction, joy, love, and the ideal world as more and more time passes. It is because that is the work that the Trinity did and therefore, the Trinity continues to make history on it even though human limitations have been reached. Even if it was the same work, ‘whatever you did by yourself alone’ will end shortly after you are joyful by yourself alone and you will regret it and sell it off because there is no story behind it.
Objects that were used by kings or great men of old are expensive and considered important because there are deep stories behind them. How much more valuable is something that is received from God, the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Son than objects that were once used by worldly kings or great people! Paintings drawn by artists of old too – they are worth only a few dozen USD or a few hundred USD during their lifetimes but when time passes, they are worth as much as ten million USD, twenty million USD, one hundred million USD, or four hundred million USD. Their worth is not the price of the paintings themselves. It is a ploy to make a painting world famous. It is a way to make people think that a painting was done well because it is expensive.
Whether it is clothing, buildings, or artworks, when they are expensive, people consider them to be that much greater. Would God consider them that expensive too? Would their value rival a painting that is made according to God’s instructions? When I went to Heaven and looked, ‘a drawing that was made according to God’s design and instructions’ was worth ‘hundreds of trillions’ in terms of worldly money. Paintings that used to cost hundreds of millions of USD in the world were not even present in Heaven.
The Almighty God’s appraisal is ‘the perfect appraisal.’ The most uncertain thing in the world is the value of artworks. Even though they are not worth that much money in reality, one that is worth a thousand USD is priced at ten thousand USD and one that is worth a hundred thousand USD is priced at a million USD.
When examined deeply, they neither have that kind of value nor a back-story. The most expensive item is ‘an artwork that God made through a person’ and ‘an artwork that God made through nature.’ When [a person] looked at some fish. The fish considered a crevice under a certain rock like it was a palace and were fighting over it as if it was worth hundreds of millions of USD. Because they were fighting over it so terribly, a person made a better spot next to it. Yet, the fish considered that spot to be just ordinary. The crevice under a rock that the fish considered to be so valuable was worthy just ‘a few dozen USD’ in People’s view. In reality, the place made for them by a person was worth ‘thousands of USD.’ What God sees and what people see are like that too.
The difference between what a person made and what God made by taking action is like the difference between heaven and earth. God said that ‘the difference between human beings’ thoughts and My thoughts is the difference between heaven and earth.” People commonly think that heaven is where planes fly, where the clouds are floating, or where the sun and the moon are suspended. Heaven from God’s point of view refers to [a place that is at] a distance of more than 150 billion years even at the speed of light. That’s how much higher God’s thoughts are compared to ‘the thoughts of human beings.’
‘God’s thoughts‘ are extremely high, ‘the work God did’ is precious, and ‘the artwork that God made by personally taking action’ is precious and expensive. Try continually doing the work that God, the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Son want and the work of loving God, the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Son. You will be so happy and joyful saying that you have done well for your body’s lifetime and for your soul and spirit’s eternity and will enjoy it forever while loving the Trinity.
55. Improvement of Physical Constitution
Even though we, as human beings, make up our minds to do something and we desire to do it, hope for it, and really want to do it, there is a reason why we can’t put it into practice as we would like to. The Lord gave us the answer. The Lord said, “If you do first what must be done first, you can do it.” What must be done first is this: improving the physical dispositions, habits, and behaviors that are [deeply] embedded in our bodies. This is called ‘improving physical constitution.’
In the past, there was a man in my hometown. I talked with that man from when I was an elementary school child. He blinked his eyes five to six times in an instant. So I asked him, “Sir, why? Why did you wink at me?” He said, “Blinking my eyes became a habit since I was young. Now, it has become my physical constitution, so it doesn’t really bother me.” People around him told him many times to fix his blinking habit, but he wasn’t able to fix it until even the day of his death. If he had fixed it right after [he started it,] it would have been fixed. But he couldn’t fix it [later] because it became a part of his physical constitution.
Once [a certain action or thought] becomes your physical constitution or the constitution of your heart, you keep doing it throughout your daily life. For this reason, even if you hear the Lord’s Word, your spirit is affected exactly by [how] your body [is]; hence you are unable to change properly. Human beings have to improve their physical constitution in order to act as they wish. Otherwise, no matter how much they make up their mind, or how many promises they make to the Lord while praying, they are unable to take action successfully. As a result, they continually lose heart.
A man whose constitution was formed by always walking and hardly running thought that he could run a long-distance track race when he heard about the event. But even though he might be able to run a few laps on a sports field, it would be impossible for his physical constitution to run ten or twenty laps.
No matter how determined he might be, it would be impossible for him to run it [completely]. It was because he had not made his body conditioned to run a long distance. First, you should change and improve your physical constitution. Next you must change the constitution of your heart and fix all of your bad habits, mannerisms, and personality.
If a person conditions their body with drinking and smoking, their body becomes addicted to alcohol and tobacco. Then even when they fall ill, they have to drink and smoke repeatedly for their hearts to feel good and relieved initially. Narcotics or stimulants also become a disposition of the consumer’s body when they are taken repeatedly; so they can’t help but take the substances even if it is harmful to their bodies. Even if people do not drink, smoke, or use drugs or stimulants, they are addicted to the things that they like. Those things have become the dispositions of their bodies, personalities, and hearts. Tendencies to fight, to slander, to be greedy, and to be envious and jealous of other people’s success; inclinations toward money, laziness, reckless speech, tendencies to live freely without believing in God; and tendencies of doing things incompletely and halfheartedly. Unless you fix all these constitutions of your heart and action, you won’t be able to succeed in life and your bodies and spirits won’t be able to come out of the domain of death and the eternal world of darkness.
The Lord said. “Fixing your physical constitution is like restructuring a car into another model. Fixing the dispositions of the heart, mentality, and thoughts is like deleting the car’s existing program and installing a new program to operate the [restructured] vehicle. Just as you warm yourself up before swimming, be sure to improve your physical constitution before carrying out a task. Once you have reformed your physical constitution, reforming your heart is easy. After you have improved your physical constitution and reformed your heart, it becomes easy to obey My Word. From then on, you will be taking action automatically, like a machine. In order to become an athlete, a person must exercise a lot and make their heart and body into an athletic constitution. In order to become a farmer and live on farming, a person must make their physical constitution into a farming constitution. In order to live on fishing, a person must make their physical constitution into a fishing constitution. They have to become disposed to overcoming rough winds and waves and to not get seasick. They have to make their heart in that way also. You should make yourself while taking action. Once you change your constitution in this way, you can do whatever your heart desires and you will be able to take action with nothing being impossible for you. Everyone, better your constitutions so that your body will quickly take action according to your heart’s desire.”
We need to become accustomed to taking action in order to do what we couldn’t do before and in order for our dispositions to change so that we will be able to act as our hearts desire. Even though you make promises to the Lord and confess your love to Him, and even though your heart [truly] desires it, you’re not able to follow it up with action. It doesn’t work well from the beginning. But do not give up. Get used to repeatedly doing it and change your constitution in that way. Improve your physical constitution, mental constitution, and the constitution of your heart through the Lord’s methods. Then you will be able to take action immediately as you make up your mind.
56. In The Place Where Stress Is, There Is ‘A Golden Egg!’
As you live your life, there are ‘people who cause you worries and torment.’ There are times when you should solve it by confronting them. However, there are more times when you should solve it by thinking about God, and by thinking about other things. If you keep thinking about the person who causes you worries and torment and keep paying attention to that, your life will be painful and difficult. You must forget such things from your thoughts and live being on fire with ‘thoughts of other things’ and taking action in that time. If you forget the person who causes you worries and torment from your ‘thoughts,’ it will be over. And if you do the work you should do while earnestly asking God, you will sometimes even gain ‘better things’ as a result. If you keep paying attention to it, ‘stress’ will build up in your brain and heart.
Some people are stressed by ‘the weather.’ Try dealing with the weather like ‘a lover’ and treating it with delight and joy! When it rains, you should say, ‘my lover, the rain’; when it is windy, ‘my lover as cool as the wind’; when the weather is hot, ‘my extremely passionate lover’; when the weather is cold, ‘my joltingly cold lover’; – I hope that you will do that and give thanks to God. If you do, your ‘heart’ will change and the ‘situation’ will change.
Stress causes people to get upset, irritated, and angry. Sometimes ‘people’ give you stress but sometimes ‘God’ gives you stress. Why would He do that? He is manipulating the situation so that you will get angry and leave there. If you don’t leave that place, you have to continually live there with ‘the person who gives you stress.’ Therefore, I want you to see what comes if you leave because of that stress. God uses ‘stress’ to cause you to change directions and makes you meet ‘the person you wanted and longed for’ or lets you make ‘what you wanted and longed for’ and celebrate with joy.
Sometimes ‘what you want’ will gently~ come to you as a result of stress. At Moses’ time, the Israelites were under tremendous stress caused by being servants in Egypt. Therefore, being unable to endure any longer there, they left Egypt following Moses. With that as the motivation, they ultimately went to ‘the land of their ancestors, the blessed land of Canaan that was flowing with milk and honey. When the Catholic Church persecuted and oppressed the Puritans, the Puritans moved away to America, the new land. There, they found religious freedom and made a new world!
I was stressed because I didn’t get healed even though I prayed thousands of times for my health. However, as a result of that, I started to exercise and mastered many healing methods that heal diseases of the mind. I too – because I was stressed, I exercised and ran 8000 ri (1952 miles). As a result of doing that, my overall health improved and I became more youthful. If I had tried to heal the illness by praying, only that illness would have been healed and I would have continued to weaken and age because I would have failed to manage my entire body. God did not heal me of a certain illness even after I prayed tens of thousands of times. But when I exercised, my entire body became strong like steel and the illness was also cured.
You have to ‘take action’ knowing God’s Will and heart. Then you will be cured. God, the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Son give us ‘better things’ and do better things for us. In the place where stress is, there is ‘a golden egg!’ Therefore, I hope you to not just be immersed in stress but earnestly ask God as a result of that and gain the golden eggs of blessings such as a golden egg of missions, a golden egg of the Will, and a golden egg of work to do!
