22. THE VALUE OF THE ETERNAL WORLD
Whoever they may be, people need to have a definite purpose in order to get to their destination. If we live without a purpose, even a day’s living would be meaningless, unrewarding, and worthless, and we wouldn’t be satisfied for having fulfilled our hopes no matter what we do. If we set a purpose only for the physical life on earth, which is like nothing more than a consumable object, our lives would be such a waste. It would be too meaningless. Since we [have to] toil and live [through] suffering anyway, we need to make our lives eternally profitable by including a spiritual life. Then, our lives will be eternally valuable, and we will not be empty or miserable.
To live an eternal life, you need to be associated with God, the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Son who are eternal and live a life of being one with them. With our bodies, we need to follow the Will of the One who is eternal, do what He wants, and live putting His Word to practice with all our hearts. Through that, our spirits will absorb all the righteous deeds of the body, transform into heavenly spiritual form, be reborn, and once the body has lived out its lifespan, we will go to heaven.
Have you ever thought about the eternal world, and about God who is everlasting? Do you know how great eternity is? No matter how much we love a person, they will change after a year or two and as time passes by, and we will [also] age in life. And then, not even reaching 100 years, the body will die and disappear. So how empty that is! With God, His beauty never fades, and He never ages. He created ‘the spirit’ which is an entity that can live for eternity in the eternal world. Isn’t that great? The only eternal world that never ages or dies is the kingdom of heaven. It is only Heaven and Paradise. So what a great and hope-filled world that is. Heaven and Paradise are worlds that exist for eternity. And the spirits of those who go there will exist forever. But the spirits of those who went to other spiritual realms other than Heaven and Paradise are considered to be dead, even if they exist and live because they live in the domain of darkness and death. The spirits who are in Hell, Abyss, Hades, and in the domain of death are considered to be in eternal death.
I always think about God who is eternal and I’m so thankful. Even if Heaven is made from shiny jewels and all the things that people want, everything would be meaningless if God, the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Son were not eternal but could only exist for 10 billion years, and if Heaven could only last for 10 billion years. It’s great because it is eternal. 100 years of life seems like a long time at first, but after living our lives, we find that it ends one day. No matter how long a time is given, it will be meaningless if it ends at one point. It must be eternal. Then it will not be meaningless. I realized this and I was thankful and grateful. I prayed, “God, I am so glad because there is You, who are eternal. If I weren’t a person bound for heaven, I wouldn’t be interested in eternal things, but because the kingdom which I will go to exists eternally, and because You, the essence of that world, exist eternally, I am so happy. I am so thankful and grateful.”
I studied philosophy in my early teens and thought this, “It is so meaningless that people live and die like the rest of creation. Would there be a way to not die? Why would God, who created human beings, make us die of old age at a time when we would have earned some money and built a nice house to live in? Why did he set such a short time for a lifespan? 100 years is too short. We are human beings that God created but [how long] we live well and enjoy life is too short compared [how long] we struggle.”
But I couldn’t find a clear and refreshing answer. I prayed after that, and during the time I was learning the deep words of truth from the Lord for 20 years, He taught me about life and then I was able to know clearly. The Lord showed me the spiritual world and taught me, “God did not create people to center only on the physical body. He created the physical body [for the sake of the spirit,] so that the spirit can live forever. His purpose was for people to seek and come to the eternal world while they live 100 years of their life on earth, and He gave the sufficient [amount of] time [for mankind], which is 100 years.” Therefore, I came to know that God set the lifespan of the physical body on earth to be short, and I realize deeply that with that body, I must put the Lord’s words to practice and make my spirit go to the eternal Kingdom. And with this, the Lord guides my path of life all the more, and helps me to live for the eternal path of life following the Lord.
Especially recently, I thought more about God, the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Son who are eternal and their eternal existence, and I was happy and thankful. Then this morning, the Lord said, “Don’t ever forget the hope of the eternal world of Heaven. If the spiritual world you go to exists and ends only up to a certain point, there will also be limitations on hope and expectations. God is eternal, so all things are also eternal.”
23. THE INSPIRATION IN THE HEART
This Trinity works mainly in the following several ways. The methods they use the most when they work on people is that they do things by inspiring the people’s hearts. [The Trinity] mostly does things by inspiring people’s hearts. Many of you must have realized and experienced a lot of things in the following way: You did something because you were moved in your heart all of sudden or unexpectedly without knowing why, and then you realized later on, ‘It was the Lord’s will. The Holy Spirit moved me and God guided me with His power.’
The Lord inspired my heart so that I could do things according to the Lord’s desired Will at each moment. Because my heart was moved, my body was also moved in the direction that my thoughts were moving -just like when a car starts, it moves in the direction that it is steered. On top of this, they did one more thing. It was that they set the right circumstances while they inspired my heart at the same time. The Lord made ways for me. Unless the right circumstances are set, you can’t do the work even if you are moved to do it because you’d be bound by problems with the environment and [other] circumstances. If ‘inspiration’ is likened to a car, ‘conditions/circumstances’ are likened to its path. Conditions mean certain problems are [already] solved. The Trinity inspire you for things that they have a Will for and provide conditions so that problems can be resolved. Even if we have to leave that spot quickly because we are in danger, there are times when we may be moved but not big enough to shock our hearts. Instead it may come as a slight urgency of lukewarm inspiration, “I want to get out of here.”
If inspirations came powerfully, everyone would have avoided and escaped accidents. So I asked the Holy Son. When it comes to matters that involve death, and what the Lord wants and what we must do, why does an inspiration of the heart arrive lukewarm like a light breeze or like the tip of a tree that moves only slightly by the wind? If he were to give inspiration, why can’t he strike our hearts as thunder would strike or as the ground would tremble during an earthquake? Why does he tease us and [just] give us an inspiration like someone drawing a spoonful of water from a huge well and leaving us to get into accidents and die? Why does he make us wonder, “Is this God’s inspiration?” and eventually leave us to suffer harm because we were unable to follow the inspiration? “Since only a tiny amount of inspiration is given, people don’t follow their inspirations because they wonder if it’s their own thoughts or one of the effects of the brain,” I told him.
The Lord did not answer me right away. Only after I prayed for a long time and after making me go through it myself he said,“Even if God were to give them powerful inspirations, unless they pay attention to them, and pray and focus their minds on them, they will only feel weak inspirations.” Let’s say you are driving, and you are talking a lot caught up with a certain issue. If you pay attention only to what you are saying rather than driving, even if a car next to you honks and approaches you, you won’t know until they actually crash into your car.
If you are not mindful, in whatever the case may be, you will remain unaware and you will just let it pass by even if you see it or hear it, and even if you are strongly inspired. Even though the Trinity works and give inspirations in our hearts, we don’t know it because we don’t pay attention to [inspirations]. It’s because people are indifferent that they don’t see or hear them. In addition, if you do things according to your own thoughts and heart, you will be confused and you won’t be able to recognize an inspiration even if you receive one.Therefore, the Lord said, “Always be awake and pray, focus on the Lord’s inspiration every day and live your life on alert. Make sure to do it when I give you an inspiration.”
Before something happens, you get into accidents or face death, before something good happens or before harm comes upon you, the Trinity always give inspirations to people they love, make them hear a voice, or show visions, or give natural revelations through creation. The Lord said, “You don’t pay attention to the inspirations I give and you live your life mindlessly even if you’ve learned about all this. That is why you only feel the inspirations I give you faintly like waves of a calm lake. You need to make your mind spiritual by always praying so that the inspirations will come to you like waves of a sea.”
24. THE SWIFT CLOUDS
When I was praying at dawn today, a strong wind came through the window that was as small as my palm. I thought, ‘When the wind that comes into this small place is that strong, the wind outside must be massive.’ Because the wind was so strong, I worried that a typhoon might be coming and so I prayed.
The Holy Son asked me during prayer. “What do you think the softest things are in nature?” At that time I felt a wind blowing gently against me where I was, so I said, “it is wind.” “What else?” “They are water and clouds. And fire is hot but if it wasn’t, its flames would be equally as soft as the wind.” “It is so. Wind, water, clouds, and fire are used softly in this way. However, winds, water, clouds, and fire that are as soft as this are also used as the strongest and most frightening elements [of nature] according to the circumstances.”
Then the Holy Son continued to speak, “Wind, water, clouds, and fire are soft when they move slowly. However, when they speed up and move fast, they become strong forces and sweep away everything in its path. You too, be used softly like the wind, water and fire. And if you want to perform miracles and signs, take action at a super high speed. Only then will a powerful history take place.”
Wind exists, but you cannot touch it with your hands. You can only feel it. It is also soft without [any abrasive surfaces.] How soft the water is as well! In fact, fire too is very soft if you can get a hold of the flame. However, when the wind speeds up and blows at 300km/hr, everything, whether they are people, iron, houses, trees, or cars, is blown away leaving only the barren land behind. When the wind blows gently, it is okay but when the wind blows at a fast speed, it becomes a terrifying and frightening storm. Let’s look at [the example of] water. When water, which is very soft, [creates] floods and flows down rapidly, everything is swept away by that water. Look at how fire burns, running like a flying tiger.
People say diamonds are strong, and steel is strong. However, if wind blows or water gushes out at an incredibly high speed, it will penetrate [anything] making holes. Not even diamonds or steel will survive through extreme speeds of wind or water. If water and wind are blown at a high speed, there will not be much left of even diamonds, steel, boulders, trees or whatever it is. Take a look at a waterfall [for instance]. Waterfalls at a high speed, and boulders underneath are carved about 10, 20, or 50m. When such water, which is soft, speeds up, it becomes very powerful. The same is true with fire. When fire gets more intense, everything melts and holes are made and things are destroyed. Depending on the speed, it exhibits incredible power leaving nothing behind.
The Holy Son said, “How soft are the hearts of man? The physical body is also soft, isn’t it? However, as much as you speed up, and as much as you do it quickly, it will exhibit power like wind, water, or fire. Whoever it may be, as much as they speed up, they will make wonders and miracles. Do not just lament that your heart is weak but speed it up and become fast clouds. Let your heart be fast, your thoughts be fast, your mind be fast and your action be fast. Then wonders will take place.
The faster you run, the more you can complete impossible tasks. The faster you become, the more powerful and able a person you become, like a tropical storm, like a torrent, like a waterfall, or like blazes with smoke. Then Satans and evil-doers will fear; they will not be able to touch you or block you. Do you want miracles? Speed up and be swift clouds. Then I, My Father, and the Holy Spirit will ride you and fulfill desires. Pray. Then you will be able to do things fast and speed up. Speed up while loving me first and foremost. Then, great wonders like a typhoon will take place, power like a surging torrent will happen, and tremendous history like fire will take place.”
All of you should speed up and become storms, flooding rapid currents, and fire of flames because the Lord rides on ‘swift clouds.’
25. THOSE WHO SHINE FOREVER
No matter how much honor a person may gain in the world or even if they become a tycoon, hold power and live a glorious life, they cannot be compared with those who are recognized by the Lord, living with heavenly power and missions, receiving the glory of heaven and shining forever. The Lord said that almost no one among those who enjoyed the glory of the world and held power went to heaven and became glorified. They could not do the work of God and the Lord because of their worldly work.
Because they lived their life with their minds preoccupied with worldly work and spent all their time in it, while being consumed by their physical work, they were unable to do the Lord’s work professionally. Those who have glorified God and have lived only for the Lord are not recognized much in the world but they are shining in Heaven. Like King David or King Solomon, people who lived only for God while carrying out their missions from heaven in the world, are shining even in heaven. When you go to the spiritual world of Heaven, ask the Lord if people who made their names here in this world are in Heaven. But, the Lord doesn’t easily tell those things to us. If you tell him that you want to meet those who were famous in the world, the Lord will tell you, “They are not here,” or “They are here, but I can’t tell everyone about it.” The Lord told me, “Generally, even if they believed in me, many who lived for the world only received salvation that they would be ashamed of.”
So I asked, “Then who shines brightly in Heaven?” Then the Lord answered, “Peter and other disciples who followed me around in the world, poured all their love on me and took joy in loving me. Stephen, Apostle Paul, the Samaritan woman by the well, Mary who gave the Lord the alabaster jar, Abraham, Moses, Joshua, Esther, Daniel, Samuel and all the prophets of God, shine in Heaven. The central figures and martyrs also shine.” He then said, “In this time period also those who follow me around, love me and live truthful lives for me in accordance with the Will and my desires, will shine most splendidly in heaven and live in the domain of the brides as my brides.”
In this world, the poor and the rich, the ruler and the ruled, and people of high, middle, and low classes all live together. The powerful, the tycoons, the famous, the celebrities, the righteous and the wicked all mingle and live in the same world. However, it is different in heaven. If your spirit does not transform into the heavenly level spirit while living in this world and if you don’t go to Heaven at the first attempt, even if you receive salvation, you will only receive a failed salvation. A person will not go to Heaven just because they believe in the Lord. The Lord always emphasizes repeatedly, “Be perfect. Be born again by the Holy Spirit. Heaven is a perfect world. Those who are not perfect cannot go to Heaven.”
The words of the Lord written in the Bible say, “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.” (Mt 5:48). The positions of Sunday school teachers or middle/high school teachers are considered insignificant in this world. But in heaven, they are positions equivalent to cabinet ministers of the world. When you go to Heaven, you will really be treated according to your status. Therefore, whether your duty is small or big, you should faithfully complete the work the Lord has entrusted to you. A member who visits Heaven went to Heaven with the Lord and saw how good the houses of those who work hard for the Lord were. When that person saw her house, it was so good that she told the Lord, “No one on earth lives in a house like this!”
Then the Lord responded, “How can you compare the things of the world to those in heaven? Because there is nothing to compare with, I use this parable in order for you to easily understand: the difference between the two is like that between a straw roof house full of pestering mosquitoes in the Amazon and a high rise building at the center of a city.” The house of indigenous people is inferior even to the bathroom of rich people.
At the predawn hours one day the Lord made me realize this deeply, “Whether their mission is big or small, people don’t know how valuable their mission is. The mission I give you, whether it is big or small, is valuable to you. Yet, you just come to church without realizing this, thinking it is unimportant and think that I just gave you a position of duty. As a result, you are not fulfilling your mission properly. Even though it is difficult, really value your mission and do your best.”
26. KNOWING AND UNDERSTANDING GOD’S HEART PROPERLY
When I was in my teens, I was living in the deep valley, where I was pressed by my environment and the agonies of life. I really could not take control of my heart. Because I could not control my heart, I could not control my body and there was no joy or hope in my everyday life. Naturally, my days were filled with complaints.
I shed tears and pounded the ground with my fists, as I alone lamented and wept for the life I had. I had my own reasoning: ‘People whom God predestined [to live well] are well off, while others don’t get His help. So I’m also going through these agonies!’ That was a thought that I entertained in my mind. So I could not love God or the Lord closely or have a proactive faith. I didn’t see hope in God or the Lord. [Still] I could not blame my parents or my ancestors. I just thought it was my destiny to live in that way. How could I maintain a normal and proper life when I had such a wrong thought and idea, which was against God’s law? My heart could not feel normal joy.
I decided that God had already determined every human being’s fate, therefore, human beings had no other choice but to live as [predestined]. Really, it was my own realization. You should not come up with your own understanding or conclusion.
If you fail to correctly understand the will of God and the thought of the Lord, your life goes to ruin. Indeed, I was entertaining a truly dangerous thought, a destructive idea on my own. Those who commit suicide also end [their] lives out of having the wrong thought. I abandoned myself to a thought that said, ‘I who live in this remote valley and those who live in the surrounding areas were destined [to live here] by God. So even if we try, we cannot go to the cities.
The city dwellers were predestined to live in the cities by God.’ Life in a deep mountain site was so miserable that I couldn’t help but only think that way. Truly, I was holding onto a ridiculous thought and philosophy of faith. As a result, I did not think or try to move to a better place or a city. With so many questions, I began praying deeply toward the end of my teenage years. At that time, as I read the Bible and offered long and deep prayers, I slowly realized that God and the Lord were different from how I had imagined Them to be.
I gradually came to know that my ‘life run by fate’ view of life and God’s view of human life differed. I then set myself free from that mistaken perspective and theory about God, which I had come up with on my own. Consequently, I began making more effort and worked harder. I understood that through hard work I could escape the pressing agonies and the world of pain. As I prayed, I came to realize anew what I had thought on my own regarding God, the Lord, and my destiny;
I came to know ‘the will and law God had set for human beings.’ Have you also had wrong thoughts on your own about God, about the Lord, and about yourself, and as a result, have you been worried and concerned, have you suffered and agonized? Pray and gain correct understanding; get out of the domain of agonies and let the joy and hope flow in from God. If you deem God’s will as you mistakenly see it, you will end up creating distance between God and you, between the Lord and you. You won’t feel like believing or loving God and the Lord absolutely. You need to know and understand God’s heart properly through prayer.
