- Matthew 10:32-33 “Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. But whoever disowns me before others, I will disown before my Father in heaven.
- Matthew 13:58 And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.
It is written in today’s scriptures, “And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.” This is a story of the time when Jesus went to a certain town, but as a result of the people there who didn’t acknowledge him, he didn’t perform any miracles. Jesus had wanted perform many miracles there. If Jesus had performed miracles, they would have been saved, but because they didn’t acknowledge him, Jesus did not give them the Word of salvation and he just left without showing any miracles of salvation.
When we believe in God, the Holy Spirit, and the Lord, they perform miracles based on that faith. The power of God, the Holy Spirit, and the Lord cannot be displayed even with the powers of all the people in the entire world combined. [God, the Holy Spirit, the Holy Son, and the Lord] show ‘miracles’ and display their ‘power’ when you acknowledge them and show appreciation. Otherwise, they will say, “I will just leave since I’m not appreciated.” ‘Miracles’ are shown only when you believe.
Jesus said, “Do you want to see miracles? You will only see the sign of Jonah.” He will show ‘good miracles’ when you treat him favorably, and he will show ‘bad miracles’ when you treat him unfavorably. The sign of Jonah took place because he disobeyed. At the time of Jesus, the Jews failed to believe in Jesus and disobeyed, so he died on the cross and resurrected in three days.
People want to see ‘miracles.’ But do you know why God shows miracles? He shows them to get people to believe in the Messiah. It is like business and how people show more interest, look at, and buy an item when you promise an ‘add-on.’ But, you must buy the item to get that add-on, but the add-on is not given to you without purchasing the item. In this way, showing miracles does not just happen. They are shown for the purpose of getting you to believe in the Messiah whom God has sent. Jesus also could have performed a lot of miracles and signs, but because the people didn’t believe in Jesus, he didn’t perform any of them. But when the disciples believed, he showed them all kinds of miracles. Of course, you must acknowledge miracles and powers, too. Miracles do not just happen.
You must know how to testify in front of a lot of people. If you profess who the Lord is in front of a lot of people, regardless of what gender or age they are, the Lord will also tell the Almighty God who is in Heaven about them. That is why you must properly testify and profess about the Lord. Otherwise, God will not show any miracle or power. God’s works come in all shapes, sizes, and varieties. I cannot tell you every single one of the wonders God has performed at every moment. There are times when God says, “Wouldn’t I know what I am doing?” and shows miracles. Therefore, you must say, “God, thank you! You have a plan and Will in everything that happens,” and then take action whether it rains or snows. People tend to think that something worked out because they did it or because someone else did it. That’s not true. God conducts all those things Himself.
God always does all the things that He has to do for human beings, whether they believe in Him or not. The sun always rises and launches all its energy on human beings. God does the same. In this way, God does everything He has to do for everyone, so you should acknowledge this and say, “Thank you! Thank you!” If you consider the things of the past, you can see that God did [everything] that He had to do for human beings, in over 95% of the cases. You should realize this and acknowledge what God does for you. Only when you acknowledge Them will miracles keep happening.
Not only should you acknowledge God, but you should also acknowledge those who work and put in a lot of effort. You should acknowledge one another. There are a lot of people who are just faithful without being in the spotlight or showing their faces. I’m telling you to know this and acknowledge one another.
If you don’t know, you cannot acknowledge it. You have to know in order to acknowledge it. People gain no strength if they don’t have the fun of acknowledging one another. I hope that, after hearing today’s message, you will always care for, serve, and acknowledge one another. I hope that you will know this, acknowledge what God has done, acknowledge what each other have done, and challenge yourselves to put this Word into action!
