Isaiah 7:14-15 Therefore, the Lord himself will give you a sign; The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel. He will be eating curds and honey when he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right. Even though ‘the savior, the Messiah,’ came to this world, if you don’t know it, you will fail to receive him and will end as a failure even if you have been burning with anxiety while waiting for him. Only the one who knows will receive him, enjoy the hope, and live receiving the blessings.
The Messiah is a bundle of blessings, a bundle of love, and a bundle of salvation. As for the Bible prophecies regarding the Messiah, -other people cannot fulfill them no matter how much they try to do it. Only ‘the Messiah,’ will fulfill those prophecies.
Additionally, only those who heard his Word, absolutely believe in him, and follow him will fulfill the Bible prophecies with the Messiah. If you fail to receive the Messiah, you will only engage in a faith of waiting. It is like a woman adorning herself and waiting for the bridegroom from the time she begins to mature. She waits so that when the time comes, she can receive the bridegroom, marry him, and live with him while loving each other. However, if she doesn’t know it even though the bridegroom has come, she will fail to meet him, her youthful life’ that is too valuable to waste, will come to an end, and as she grows older, the love will also come to an end.
God did not send ‘Jesus the Messiah’ unexpectedly. God had already prophesied about it and promised it to them through the Prophet Isaiah of the Old Testament whom the Old Testament religious people followed. “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son. He will come to the earth that way. I will send him to all of you. When he grows up, he will give you the new Word that is like honey and save you.” He said. He also told them ahead of time that ‘the savior’ would be born in Bethlehem by prophesying through ‘the Prophet Micah,’
and He said, “But you, Bethlehem, Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be the ruler over Israel.” Besides these [verses], God prophesied about the Messiah through the prophets whom the religious people of the Old Testament followed and in accordance with those prophecies, [God] sent Jesus the Messiah to the earth. However, the Jewish religious people who believed in God under the Law did not think about those prophecies and only thought that God, who is a Deity, would come personally or that [God] would send a great person like Moses from among the people. When you look at Daniel 7:13 in the Old Testament, the Prophet Daniel said, “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence.” People read these words and believed that the Messiah would come riding on ‘the clouds of heaven,’ and waited for the Messiah while considering this scripture to be a scripture about the coming of the Messiah.
Additionally, when you look at Isaiah 66:15 in the Old Testament, the Prophet Isaiah said,
“See, the Lord is coming with fire, and his chariots are like whirlwinds; he will bring down his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.” Isaiah 19:1 say: “See, the Lord rides on a swift cloud and is coming to Egypt. The idols of Egypt tremble before him, and the hearts of the Egyptians melt with fear.” They read these words and believed that God would come with fire and a sword and that God would come riding on a swift cloud, and waited for God using these scriptures as [the basis for] the idea that God, Himself, would come. Jesus came in the New Testament time as ‘the Messiah.’ With the coming of Jesus, the time period became the New Testament time period and the time of children.
Like the Old Testament prophecy that revealed that he would come riding on the clouds, he came riding on ‘the clouds.’ The clouds here refer to ‘the human clouds.’
Like the prophecy that revealed that he would be conceived by a woman, Jesus was born through ‘the body of Mary, his mother. Like the prophecy that revealed that he would come on a cloud, Jesus came riding on ‘the cloud of his mother Mary, a human cloud.’
And since the Trinity came through that body, it means that all of the prophecies of the Old Testament about the coming of God were fulfilled too! Additionally, as prophesied in the Bible, Israel began to be restored after Jesus’ coming. When the person sent by God comes, all the prophecies are fulfilled. All ‘the prophecies’ are fulfilled as the Messiah takes action.
We must celebrate the birth of Jesus who came in this way according to God’s will and promise and give thanksgiving and glory to God who sent him. However, since those who waited did not know, they failed to receive the Messiah even though he had come and instead, he was received by the gentiles who did not even wait for him at that time. How did they receive him, you ask? They recognized Jesus and received him by listening to ‘Jesus’ Word.’ Only those who recognized Jesus, received him, and lived fulfilled the New Testament history.
In the same way, God prophesied in the New Testament. He prophesied that “The Messiah is coming. Jesus will come again riding on the clouds.” Those who don’t know will fail to interpret the meaning of the Word in the Bible that says, “the Son of Man will come riding on the clouds of heaven. Jesus will come again,” will believe and live within their own domain, and will end without receiving the Messiah. Even a dream, has to be interpreted in order for it to come true that way during waking hours. However, since [God] gives revelations in the form of ‘parables or symbols,’ they come true during waking hours differently. If you fail to interpret it [correctly], you will not recognize it even if it comes true during waking hours. How much more when it comes to a prophecy in the Bible, right? In the past at Jesus’ time too –The prophecies of the Old Testament were fulfilled on the earth. No matter how much they shun, persecute, and refuse to believe, God’s history will fulfill all the will while flowing along at a leisurely pace.
History is known and followed only by those who know.
The Jewish religious people of the Old Testament waited so eagerly for the Messiah. However, they failed to receive him even though the Messiah came because they failed to correctly perceive Jesus, whom God sent. If they had correct knowledge of the Word of God
and lived spiritually rather than superficially before the Messiah came, they would have received him properly when the Messiah came. The same is true in this time period. Even if God gave you something as He promised, if you don’t know, you will fail. Only the one who knows will believe, take action, receive the Lord, and rejoice. If you don’t know, you will live without receiving him even if he is next to you. I bless all of you to know it again, realize, and take action!
