While going without checking, people walk the ‘path of death’ in an instant. While doing things without checking, people walk the ‘path of hardships, path of suffering.’ Because people do things without checking, they incur losses, suffer harm, go through hardships, bite their tongues and regret, lament, receive the suffering of Hell, become crippled, become terminally ill lives, and live as beggars when they would have otherwise lived as wealthy people. Therefore, you must value the word, “take action after checking,” as precious as ‘life.’
Since CHECKING teaches you ‘things you should do,’ and ‘things you should not do,’ it is the ‘way to succeed’ and the ‘best way to discern.’ Also, CHECKING is like the ‘eyes.’ So you will see the ‘reality’ and come to knowledge of it. Therefore, a person who checks will become ‘divine’ and take action.
Even if GINSENG’s ‘inside’ is rotten, it’s ‘outside’ is fresh. However, if you touch it, it feels mushy. GINSENG THAT IS NOT ROTTEN is fresh and so it is full of life when you touch it.
The same is true with the HUMAN GINSENG.I couldn’t tell what a certain person was like when I looked at them only on the surface.
Likewise, DISCERNING is truly difficult thing. Without CHECKING, you cannot know what is ‘genuine, true.’ Therefore, even if you are in a hurry, you must be sure to check first and then take action!
Some things look good to the ‘eyes,’ but are average when you actually ‘check’ them. ‘Conmen’ too. You will know them only if you check. You cannot know if you look only at the surface. ‘Liars’ too. You should not judge them only based on what they say. Instead, you must make sure to check. If you do, then you can know that they are lying.
Do not judge after checking only a little. Instead, you must check exhaustively from the start to finish. If you do, there is no failure. You will come to know only as much as you check, and things come to light only as much as you check. Through two stories I will tell you about why CHECKING is important.
Some person was satisfied after selling a ‘precious porcelain piece’ for only a ‘few tens of millions of won’ (tens of thousands of dollars) without even checking. The person who bought that porcelain piece for a ‘few tens of millions of won’ checked the value of the porcelain piece to the best of his abilities and sold it for ‘900 million won’ ($900,000.)
The person who bought that piece for ‘900 million won’ ($900,000) got the most accurate appraisal of that item. When he did that, he found out that the porcelain piece was actually worth ‘9 billion won’ ($9 million). The person who performed the most accurate checking came to earn money because people visited the museum daily.
Only the person who checked will not suffer loss but instead become the ‘owner of precious treasures.’ Some person found a violin that had been discarded in the trash. He picked up that violin thinking, ‘I am sure this will make a beautiful sound. I will fix it and use it.’ He found out later that the violin was a masterpiece violin that commands a price of ’15 billion won’ ($15 million).
Some person threw away even something precious because he did not check and some person earned fifteen billion won ($15 million) by valuing even something that looked worthless and so getting it checked. Even if someone says something is ‘gold!’ and even if it looks like ‘gold,’ check it. Even if they look like men or look like women, check them because people deceive and disguise themselves. Therefore, utilize the ‘ultimate worker of discerning’ called CHECKING. Always check on your own.
CHECKING is the ‘gift of life.’ It is a ‘large sum of money.’ It is ‘pure gold.’ I bless all of you to carry today’s message around, look at it constantly and take action so that you will both not suffer any loss and not suffer any harm.
